    There’s an App for That: If You Can Dream It, You Can Build It 

    Remote Camera Pan/Zoom on a PCBThis session was delivered as a showcase of the capabilities of Acrobat Connect Pro. Put simply, the Connect product is a framework for delivery of real time communication applications. There a bunch of pods (the small applications that run inside a session) that are available out of the box for a variety of video conferencing and virtual meeting scenarios. These include text based chat, pre-recorded and real-time video, voice chat, desktop sharing… and the list goes on.

    Summed up by Terry Shane, the iPhone has been so successful because of  what the platform (device and App Store)  makes possible. He believes that Connect Pro is the iPhone of web conferencing.

    Here Comes Everybody 

    Media is changing. In the social environments that now exist; once a problem is solved once for one person, it’s solved for everyone, everywhere. People with seemingly nothing in common can band together, become organised and cause change. Media has moved from information to co-ordination.

    Old fashioned media revolved around a few central publishers. As the number of citizen journalists is exponentially increasing, traditional media is losing the monopoly on publicly available information. They are required to adapt their businesses during this new era.

    Adobe Strategy Overview 

    Adobe CEO Mr. Shantanu Narayen was able to relate the four straight-forward observations Adobe have made back to their strategy.

    1. How people are using software is changing (PC vs. mobile)
    2. There are drastic changes in the publishing industry
    3. How software is developed is changing
    4. Global opportunitities are accelerating
